Hike to the Hollywood Sign!

One of the things that I had to do when I was in LA was hike up to the Hollywood sign. However, I didn’t know how tedious it was going to be lol. I guess one could say that I’m not in the best shape considering how winded I got. Anyways, I went with a group so we had a host leading the way for us. We walked to the end of Hollywood Boulevard and waited for one of the city buses, which was only 50 cents to ride! The bus took us to a stop right at the start of the trail to the top of the Hollywood Hills.28438317514_31946c7e31_o

The area had a canteen which was very necessary in order to refresh to and from the hike. Before the hike started, our leader gave us a little historical background of the sign and of the Hollywood Hills area. After that, we started walking up the long, steep, and winding roads. The easiest way to get to the sign is by walking through the roads in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood. It was kinda cool to see some of the homes that were reportedly worth millions of dollars.

30 minutes later, we finally made it to the Hollywood Sign, and the view was breathtaking. You could see the skyline of Los Angeles from afar as well as the Hollywood Hills and the houses on the hills. Walking down from the sign wasn’t as bad as walking up!28440407233_68a9356dea_o

Along the way down, there was a man who dedicated his time to selling water at his home for a dollar for hikers who were either coming up or down from the sign. It was a nice rest stop before continuing down to the canteen shop and waiting for the bus.

The view of the Hollywood sign and of the City of Angels skyline was definitely worth the hike!
